We are a small independent group of children’s residential homes and an independent special school. Our Place Schools began their journey in 2008, in 2020 we opened Lakeside @ Our Place and became the Our Place Group.
Our home is all small and bespoke and is situated in a semi-rural setting in Worcestershire, very close to the border of Herefordshire.
Here at Our Place, we provide a caring and safe environment for some of the most complex, vulnerable, and hard to place children and young people. We specialise in caring and educating young people with special educational needs, inc. autism, severe learning disabilities, associated challenging behaviours and complex associated health needs. We pride ourselves on working with experts in their fields which means we are able to meet the changing needs of the young people we support and ensuring that our young people can reach their full potential.
Our Home
Our home is like being at home and our staff are like one of the family…..each of our young people get to choose how they want their room decorated, they have the opportunity to input into how we decorate our communal areas, and they contribute into what activities we do here.
Our home is Ofsted rated and we pride ourselves on offering all of our young people, bespoke, personalised care and education.
We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of our young people is at the centre of all that we do.
Our School
Our School is a purpose built , bespoke, independent special school, that is Ofsted rated ‘good’.
At Our Place School we are proud of the fact that we aim to shape what we do according to the individual pupils on roll. As such, we are flexible in how we devise and deliver the curriculum we offer.
We believe every young person deserves to feel safe and secure, receive an excellent education and the chance to fulfil their potential, whatever their background or needs.
