Safeguarding
Our child protection and safeguarding policy can be found here.
Our Place School fully recognise their responsibilities for safeguarding and are committed to safeguarding all of our children and young people. At Our Place we strive to safeguard and promote our pupils’ welfare, safety, health, and well-being by creating an honest, open, caring and supportive environment.
The pupils’ welfare is of paramount importance to everyone at Our Place. We have created a culture of transparency whereby our teams know how to recognise concerns, how to and who to report to, and how to keep children safe.
We teach and support children how to keep safe, how to raise concerns and who to talk to if they are worried about anything.
‘If you are worried, talk to someone’
We will always take people’s concerns seriously and take corrective action to prevent incidents that may harm a child from occurring and use reflective practice to ensure our standards remain.
If you have any concerns about a child, or would like any safeguarding advice, please contact one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads: ContactUS@ourplaceschools.com or 01886 833378
If you have an immediate Child Protection concern please call 999.

Our Place School is a proud member of Operation Encompass. Operation Encompass is a national scheme that operates jointly between schools and police forces.
Operation Encompass reports to schools, before the start of the next school day, when a child or young person has experienced domestic abuse with police involvement.
As a school we have ensured that members of our staff, known as Key Adults, have been trained in the Operation Encompass procedures, allowing us to best support the students at Our Place School.
We are keen to offer the best support possible to all of our students.
