Halloween Holiday Club Success!

Our Place Group Holiday Club

We were thrilled to have three wonderful young people join us for our first Holiday Club. The club took place over three delightful days over the Halloween Half Term and it was the first time we welcomed external visitors to Our Place Group.

There were plenty of activities taking place for the duration of the club. Working together with the parents and young people we’re able to create truly bespoke provisions. Each young person had their own activity plan based on their own individual need and with EHCP targets and outcomes being the main focus. The activities included offsite visits, designed to encourage social and independent skills. We had onsite activities too, both festive and person-focused. We all had a lot of fun!

Listening to Feedback

We were delighted with the feedback that was shared with us from the family support workers, and so we thought we would share some of the comments with you too.

Mum was very impressed with what she saw, in particular the resources, indoor and outdoor spaces…Mum has reported back that her son was very excited about going on the second and third day and arrived home happy and very tired from all the lovely activities he had partaken in.

I was happy with what CM has been doing, over the 3 days he came back happy. Thank you.

CM’s Mum

Marc has kept me in the loop and I feel assured that the joined up working approach is going to be a very positive experience.

We believe that working closely with parents and the Local Authority will help us to further develop and improve on the short break offering for young people in our area.

In addition to our Holiday Club, we’re now providing a Saturday Club that will take place throughout the year, with our next one due to be held in just a few days. We’ll continue to keep you posted on our experiences both here and on Facebook and Twitter. Please feel free to follow us there to stay up to date.
